My Sunday Sermon Journal: loveONEanother
My Sunday Sermon Journal
A collection of thoughts, ideas, and notes taken from a Sunday Worship Service.
Starting the series called (Kal-eh-o) which means “Calling”, pastor Kyle opens up with some great points and brings us to Ephesians 4:1-3.
4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
- Live a life WORTHY of the calling.
We have been called to KEEP the unity. We’re meant to have this unity- we’ve received it. It is our job to maintain it. To KEEP it.
The problem with the world is that we draw our family circle too small. -Mother Teresa
Meaning, our family only consists of our relatives NOT the church body. We need to become one body for Christ and unit believers as ONE FAMILY.
- A calling we’ve received NOT achieved
- Be humble, completely, and patient
- Keep the Spiritual Unity HE created. Maintain it.
We are called to Keep the unity with maturity and extreme efforts. Make EVERY effort to keep the unity of the Spirit. Keep in place what HE created. [Ephesians 4:2-3]
Do this because it is who God is and what God does. [Ephesians 4:4-6]
Believers should not speak ill of one another. We must love each other as ONE BODY. One unified force. We will spend eternity with one another. We need to get along.
Live On Purpose!
Think to yourself these questions:
Do I love what Jesus loves?
Would an outsider see that?
Am I making every effort?
